Welcome to our international baji and taiji seminar in the beautiful city of Prague!
Our seminar will include five hours of training per day.
The workshop is divided into two groups: one group will be training Chen-style Taiji and the other Bajiquan. Master Lü Baochun will alternate between instructing both of these groups throughout the day.
The focus for Chen-style Taiji will be posture, movement and breathing combined for internal training, based on the Yi Lu -form.
For Bajiquan we will focus on the small form, the first four Jingang Bashi and relevant applications, as well as pair-training and fighting.
Those who are interested in training only Baji or Chen-style Taiji will have the opportunity to continue training for the entire duration under the instruction and supervision of students selected by Master Lü, whom he has prepared for this task. It is acceptable to switch between Taiji and Baji according to one’s own interests or, for example, if you want to spend as much time as possible learning directly from Master Lü.
(with small drink breaks)
Training will be in Základní Škola Průhonice – https://goo.gl/maps/j4qC1So5sDUsJWGs7

About Master Lü
Master Lü Baochun (1956-) is a living legend of traditional Chinese martial arts. He stands out amongst his generation of martial artists as someone who through his diligence and hard work had the opportunity to learn as an indoor student from some of the 20th century’s greatest martial artists. Master Lü is internationally recognized for his deep understanding of the principles and application of Taiji as well as his raw fighting ability and incomparable speed, power and body movement in Bajiquan. Lü Baochun has lived and taught in Helsinki, Finland for the past 15 years, where he is the main teacher of the Baji Association.
This workshop is a culmination point between two of Master Lü’s central interests in martial arts: Bajiquan, taught to him by renowned Baji masters and fighters Zhang Xuchu and Han Longchuan, and Chen-style Taiji, taught to him by the legendary Feng Zhiqiang.
These masters belong to the generation that is widely known as the last generation of it’s kind in China to produce a variety of extremely capable fighters, who still had the martial spirit that made Chinese systems of hand-to-hand combat famous around the world.
Master Lü Baochun has taught dozens of workshops all over Europe, and his firm grasp of the English-language has made him a favourite for those practicing traditional Chinese martial arts who want to learn the meaning of “true gongfu”.
For both Chen-style Taiji and Bajiquan master Lü has selected some of his oldest students to help him teach each style when he is focused on the other.
