Bajiquan family tree

Han Huiqing

Han Huiqing was born in 1887 in Cangzhou's Luotan village and passed away in 1933. He was a representative of the sixth generation of the Baji lineage. He was a disciple of Zhang Jingxing and the national free fighting champion in 1928. At that time free fighting matches were just that: there were no rules. After this he held the position of manager of the martial arts academy maintained by the Chinese central government.

Han Longquan

Han Longquan (1917-1985) was Han Huiqing's son and he followed in his father's footsteps. He started his Bajiquan training with his father at an early age and established a good reputation in the martial arts circles.

Li Shuwen

Li Shuwen (1864 - 1934) was a notorious fighter well known for his ruthless matches. According to oral tradition almost all of his opponents ended up dead. His reputation was based on his extreme striking power and the fact that he used to announce to his opponent beforehand which technique would bring him down. A nickname he had was "the man who cannot punch twice".
